Walk 241 - Y Garn, Mynydd Drws-y-Coed, Trum y Ddysgl
Distance: 8.5km
Ascent: 710m

Jul 2025 - Ascent from Rhyd ddu. I love the Nantlle Ridge, always relatively quiet and some fun scrambling. The pull up Y Garn is a real slog but there were excellent views across to Mynydd Mawr and the Moel Hebog range. The Snowdon massif apart from Yr Aran and, later on, Y Lliwedd, remained in the cloud. The most exposed section of the ridge is the climb up to Mynydd Drws-y-Coed which has stomach-churning drops to the right. Had a snack on Trum y Ddysgl then enjoyed the descent via its south-east ridge. The walk out through forestry was lovely.
