Oct 2025 - Ascent from Plas y Brenin. Really thick cloud at the start point but I knew an inversion was once again promised. Another absolute treat followed - fog bows, Brocken Spectres and islands in the clouds. Spent over two hours on the summit - the first 15 minutes I was totally alone. Just mesmerising. Eventually, the sun burned off the cloud, affording some great glimpses into the valleys. I reluctantly dragged myself from the top and made my leisurely descent. The final section downwards through mixed woodland is always an absolute treat. Today - moments in time to never forget and to always cherish.
